What this register records

Every published record on this site is listed against the source that supports it. The register records the publisher, what the source is allowed to cover, the confidence level and the date it was last checked. Nothing is published from memory or from a private note.

The register holds 7 published records. Four come from official sources and one is community-reported. The number is deliberately small, because a source is only added once somebody has opened it and read it.

What each source type may support

An official source can support a published fact on its own: a release date, a feature list, an achievement name, a price on the store listing or a developer identity. Official material is the only thing that can settle a disputed number.

A community-reported source is different. It can be described, dated and linked, but it cannot stand alone as a fact. It supports a description of what players reported, which is why the confidence value on those records reads community-reported rather than verified.

What confidence means in practice

Confidence here describes how well a statement is supported, not how likely a player is to agree with it. A verified record was read directly from the named official page on the check date. A community-reported record was read from a player write-up and has not been confirmed elsewhere.

Low confidence is not a mark against a source. It is a statement that the supporting evidence is thin, so the claim stays in the register and out of the achievement list and the commission pages until something better appears.

The recheck policy

Records are rechecked after each official announcement, which is why the status page and this register share a check date. A recheck means opening the original page again and comparing it with the published text. When nothing changed, the record keeps its original date rather than a new one.

When a recheck finds a change, the record is corrected and the date moves to the day of the correction. A record that no longer has a reachable source is removed instead of being left in place with a broken link.

How a correction is handled

Corrections start on the contact page. A report needs three things: the page address, the exact sentence that looks wrong, and a public source that shows the correct value. Reports without a source are read but cannot change a record.

Once a report arrives, the linked source is opened and compared with the original. If it is stronger, the record is rewritten and re-dated. If it is not, the record stands and the reason is explained in the reply. The about page describes how this site relates to the game and its developers.
