INDEPENDENT PLAYER RESOURCE
About Dressmaker Guide
An independent, source-tracked reference for the Steam sewing game, run on a published evidence rule.
What this site is
Dressmaker Guide is an independent player reference for Dressmaker, the sewing and fashion-design simulation released on Steam on September 21, 2026 by Cozy Lives and Free Lives. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by either developer, and it is not a Valve or Steam property.
The site has one job: collect the numbers a player actually needs mid-commission — a budget, an attribute limit, a material cost, a pattern requirement — and attach a dated source to each one. Where that source does not exist yet, the page says so instead of filling the gap.
How records are verified
Every published record carries three fields: a source type, a scope, and the date it was checked. Official records come from the Steam store listing, the Steam achievement list, Steam news posts or the developer's own pages. Community-reported records come from player write-ups and are labelled as such wherever they appear.
A value that cannot be traced to either is not published. The fabric, pattern, accessory and commission collections currently hold no published records, which is visible on the fabric and commission pages rather than hidden.
What this site does not do
It does not estimate missing costs, invent attribute values, rank items without a numeric metric, or publish a code list for a game that has no redemption system. It does not repeat a community formula as though it were an official rule, and it does not treat a single player's result as a mechanic.
The style checker follows the same rule: it works only with the values you enter, and a blank attribute never counts as a pass.
Corrections
Games change. A record that was correct at launch can be wrong after a patch, which is why every entry carries its check date. If a value on this site disagrees with your current build, the in-game value wins and the record needs rechecking. Send the page, the value you see and the build you are on through the contact page.
See the source register for the full list of tracked records and their confidence levels.
